Feedback

I received feedback on my budget for the film in regards of it being too low. The main point that came up was just regarding on casting the talent, this talent being Keanu Reeves. I offered to give Keanu Reeves £800,000 for the film which I was told about not being enough for the talent. A more appropriate amount to give Keanu Reeves would be close to what his current salary is for the recent John Wick trilogy. An amount of 2 to 2.5 million pounds would be better suited for casting him.

Another issue that was brought up was how often I brought up this one character in the film without having any information on casting of the character, or design. I didn't realise how much of a key character they were as they showed up in my storyboards as well as in my key scenes. What I need to do is look into possible casting for the character 'Doyle' and look more into the information and presentation of this key character.

A question I was asked for my feedback was why does my film have to be in the cinema, and not a film thats straight to TV or Netflix. My response to the question was how I compared my film to other films which follow a similar story such as Eighth Grade (13.7 million USD) and Edge of Seventeen (18.8 million USD). I mention that these films have all been successful within the box office and would be a good reputation for the films production company.

I was also asked what was the key hook of the film. To that I responded with how this film doesn't just only focus on the teenage main characters life, but also how it goes into depth and focus on parent life as well, and how they feel within the situation of the film.
